Steps for creating a guest list for an event

If you want to create a guest list for providing people with complimentary tickets, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Purplepass promoter dashboard
  2. Once you are logged in, select “COMP Guests” in the top navigation bar
  1. A screen with information fields on the left will appear
  2. Under the section “Guest List Management” click the drop-down menu and choose the event you want to add your guests to

Importing and downloading guest lists

  1. Select either “Download Template” or “Upload CSV File” under the “Import Guest List” section
  1. Fill it out just as the template suggests.
    NOTE: it will not accept duplicate emails, please combine them into a single entry or remove duplicates)
  2. Save as the same format (CSV Comma Delimited)
  3. Upload using the “Upload CSV File” button

  1. It will ask to define each column in the spreadsheet.  Select the appropriate column for each item.
  2. Select which ticket type this will apply to
  3. When done, select “Import Guestlist”.  It may take a few minutes to process if there are many entries.  You may leave the page and come back at this time.

Downloading a current guest list

You also have the option to download a guest list under the section “Download Guest List”. NOTE: make sure to select your preferred method of download; download, print, email, or fax.

Adding a Single Guest

  1. Under the section titled “Add a Guest”, add all the required information in the fields below
  1. Check the box “Email their ticket” for email delivery
  2. Check the box “Deduct from inventory”
  3. Click the “Add Guest” button at the bottom of the screen to import your new guest

Modifying guest list entries and resending tickets

To resend guest list tickets or if you are modifying guest list entries, 

  1. Log in to the Purplepass promoter dashboard
  2. Click “COMP Guests” at the top of the navigation bar
  1. In the top left corner, there is a section titled “Guest List Management”. Select the event you want to create a guest list for from the drop-down menu.
  1. Guests will appear in the middle/right portion of the screen
  2. To resend tickets, click the envelope icon to the right of the name

  1. You can also make edits to the name, email address, and number of tickets by selecting each section on this page when modifying guest list entries

Creating a guest list template to download for future events

If you want to create a reusable guest list template to use for future events, follow these steps:

  1. In the section “Import Guest List” located to the left of the screen, click “Download Template”. NOTE: make sure your event is selected first, or you won’t be able to access the “Download Template” option.
  1. A spreadsheet will open. Enter the guest list information in the appropriate fields.
  2. Click the “Save” option when you’re finished
  3. Under the “Import Guest List” field, click the “Upload CSV File” option. Select the file you want to upload from your saved files.
  4. A pop-up window titled “Guest list Import Map” will appear
  5. Choose the column in the saved template that corresponds with the information for each field. If you followed the template, it would be in numerical order.
  6. At the bottom of the page, you can choose which type of ticket to send people on the guest list by clicking the drop-down menu and selecting the desired ticket type
  1. Click the purple “Import Guests” button at the bottom of the window and save your guest list template
