Follow the tips below for common Boca printer related issues and solutions.

My printer is installed but does not work?

There are a number of reasons why a printer may stop working. A few common reasons are:

  • Windows did an update which severs the connection that QZ Tray establishes
  • The browser cache was cleared recently

If for any reason the printer is not printing while using our box office, please try the following:

Step #1: Test the printer

First, make sure the printer is powered and paper is installed correctly by pressing test print on Boca.

Step #2: Test windows setup

Then check to be sure the printer is configured properly with Windows by doing a test print from Word Pad, Notepad, MS Word, etc...type something and print to Boca.

Step #3: Test Purplepass setup

If 1 and 2 check out, then it's an issue with Purplepass/QZ Tray/Box Office.

  1. Shut down all browsers and QZ Tray.
  2. Then restart QZ TRAY
  3. Restart the browser
  4. Log in to the box office
  5. Go into settings and re-select the printer options (it's important to re-select, even though it shows the proper printer). This will re-establish the connection through QZ Tray.
  6. Do a test print on an event after saving.
