Follow the tips below for common Boca printer related issues and solutions.
My printer is installed but does not work?
There are a number of reasons why a printer may stop working. A few common reasons are:
- Windows did an update which severs the connection that QZ Tray establishes
- The browser cache was cleared recently
If for any reason the printer is not printing while using our box office, please try the following:
Step #1: Test the printer
First, make sure the printer is powered and paper is installed correctly by pressing test print on Boca.
Step #2: Test windows setup
Then check to be sure the printer is configured properly with Windows by doing a test print from Word Pad, Notepad, MS Word, etc...type something and print to Boca.
Step #3: Test Purplepass setup
If 1 and 2 check out, then it's an issue with Purplepass/QZ Tray/Box Office.
- Shut down all browsers and QZ Tray.
- Then restart QZ TRAY
- Restart the browser
- Log in to the box office
- Go into settings and re-select the printer options (it's important to re-select, even though it shows the proper printer). This will re-establish the connection through QZ Tray.
- Do a test print on an event after saving.
