In her long and illustrious career, Risa Finkel has
appeared on stages and in concert venues on Long
Island, in New York City and around the country as
an actress and as a singer of music ranging from The
American Popular songbook, to Broadway and
opera. In addition to her love of performing and
singing, Risa has always had a knack for story-telling
and found that the best way to combine all of these
talents and interests is in the intimate art form of
cabaret. On this night, as we approach the Fourth of
July, an eclectic set of songs, both familiar and new
are on the list, including those by Kander and Ebb,
Rodgers and Hammerstein, Maltby and Shire,
Stephen Sondheim, David Friedman, Harry Chapin
and others…even her grandmother! And what
better place to gather together for great music than
the majestic former Marshall Field estate, now our
treasured Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve.
