Curated by Atim Annette Oton of Calabar Gallery, the Dreams and Possibilities exhibition explores a wide range of themes spanning from art-making processes, distinctive cultural roots, and issues of language and identity in Latin American art. From installation and painting to photography, this two-gallery exhibition presents the multiplicity of artistic voices from the twenty emerging and established artists from both the Jersey City and New York Metropolitan areas.

The exhibition is split between two galleries: The Visual Arts Gallery is located at the ground floor of the Visual Arts Building, located at 100 Culver Avenue, Jersey City. The Lemmerman Gallery is located in room 323 of Hepburn Hall, the gothic-style building facing the main gate at 2039 Kennedy Blvd. Jersey City.

Gallery hours are Monday through Fridays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and other times can be requested through contacting gallery@njcu.edu or @njcugalleries on Instagram.

Participating artists are Ray Arcadio, Alexandra Alvarez, Natali Bravo-Barbee, Vanezza Cruz, Giannina Gutierrez, Jacqueline Herranz-Brooks, Tenjin Ikeda, Sonia Lerebours, Kandy G. Lopez, Maria Lupiañez, Cesar Melgar, Katherine Miranda, Josué Morales Urbina, Felix Morelo, Dayani Muñoz, Estrella Muñoz, Sylvia Padilla, Ann Tirado, Melissa Ulto, and João (Juno) Zago.

This exhibition is part of the NJCU Hispanic Heritage Month and is supported by the Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx Studies.
