Film and Animation Description
We are excited to announce our 3rd Annual Film Festival. Come see films made by our students and students from around the Bay Area. This is a celebration of all their hard work, commitment, and dedication. May 1-3 12 PM - 4 PM Gallery Screening & Art Show FREE ADMISSION Documentary Screenings of A.B.O. Comix and Chabot Fire Academy A.B.O. Comix will also have Artwork featured in the documentary on sale. A.B.O. Comix is a collective of creators and activists who work to amplify the voices of LGBTQ prisoners through art. By working closely with prison abolitionist and queer advocacy organizations, we aim to keep queer prisoners connected to outside communities and help them in the fight toward liberation. The profits we generate go back to incarcerated artists, especially those with little to no resources. May 4 - FILM SHOW - Stage One Theatre 5:00pm-6:30pm ~ Film Show: All selected films. 6:30pm-7:00pm ~ Awards Presentation Nominations Sent to Filmmakers. 7:15pm-8:00pm ~ Reception. |
