On September 18, 2021, La Familia and the Colores Project of Rocky Ford, Colorado will host the 2nd Southern Colorado Latin Jam event in 2021 called “Latin Jam SoCo.” This will offer a combined event with a full day of free activities that will include music, a car show, a motorcycle run, a pool and darts tournament at Len’s Tavern as well as a kid’s interactive exhibit called the “Youth Mural Art Exhibit.” This exhibit is a beautiful youth component where, under the direction of local artists, kids will paint a 40’ long mural that will celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. The evening event will be a gated concert dance at the Gobin Building in Rocky Ford featuring Old School music by California “Souldies” (Chicano Soul and Oldies) artists Pepe Marquez and Krystal Moreno and then Jonathan Castillo y Profundo Tickets for the Latin Jam SoCo and detailed event info are available at www.colores22.com For questions, contact Mary Jo Aragon at 719-241-4294 or La Familia Denver at 720-671-3151 The Colores ’22 Committee and La Familia Denver are now organizing for September 18th and seeking event and exhibit sponsorships and community partnerships.
