Our NC Concealed Carry Handgun Course is geared to all experience levels, do not think you have to be a professional marksman to pass this course. We have integrated an Introductory Pistol Course along with the mandated laws governing the use of deadly force and concealed carry in the state of NC. In class you will learn:
- Different types of handguns and actions
Safe Gun Handling rules
Basic Fundamentals of Shooting
Practical applications for Handgun use before range time.
How to purchase your everyday carry gun and things to consider when choosing
How to care and maintain your handgun
NC Gun laws
How to apply for your Concealed Carry Handgun permit and rules and regulations pertaining to a CCH permit.
Useful Alternatives for Self-Defense Situations
In order to complete this course you will complete a written exam along with a shooting proficiency test of 40 rounds from 3,5, and 7 yards.
Prerequisites:
Must be a responsible adult 21 years or older
Must not be prohibited by local, state or federal law from owning or possessing firearms and ammunition.
Must exhibit and demonstrate that you can handle firearms safely. Unsafe behavior with a firearm will not be tolerated and will be grounds for dismissal without a refund.
Things Needed:
A firearm of your choice:
Please insure it is in good serviceable condition
Cleaned prior to class (Even if brand new out of the box firearm needs to be cleaned)
Semi Auto- Bring 2 mags min
Please no Single Action Revolvers these are not suitable for this course.
Outside Waistband Holster (If you do not have one we will provide this)
100 rounds of ammunition (If you are using one of our guns you may bring your own ammo. We use 22LR).
Pen and Paper for notes
Range safety equipment (Safety Glasses and Ear Protection). This will be provided if you do not have any.
Proper attire- Pants, closed toed shoes, no low cut shirts.
