Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees and original founding members of Sly & The Family Stone, Jerry Martini & Greg Errico featuring Phunee Stone present: The Family Stone

Jerry Martini, aka Papa J is the original founder of Sly & the Family Stone. Calling upon Sly Stone to become the leader of the first inter-racial, multi-gender major American Band. He has also performed with countless luminaries including Mike Bloomfield, Carlos Santana, Rolling Stone Bill Wyman, Robert Cray, Willie Lomax, Prince, Graham Central Station, and Van Morrison. He is avid in horn arrangements as well as song writing including "One With the Sun" on Santana's "Barbaletta album among others. Through the millennial New Year, he, along with Cynthia Robinson and Larry Graham, played with Prince on his 1999/2000 New Year's Pay Per View special "Rave Un2 2000". Capping "The Jam of the Year" tour taking them worldwide through Europe and the US to over 50 stops.  More recently, he has been seen on the 2006 Grammy Awards with a cast of All Stars in their tribute to Sly & The Family Stone.

If you’ve listened to radio, danced at a club, or played a recording during the past 50 years, you’ve enjoyed the rhythms of legendary drummer Greg Errico. As a founding member of the influential Rock / Funk group Sly & the Family Stone, Errico’s innovative use of the hi hat and bass drum on recordings like Dance to the MusicI Want To Take You HigherEveryday People, Thank YouHot Fun In The Summertimeand Stand, among many others, helped bring about fusion of Rock, Funk and Jazz. For this accomplishment alone, Greg would have deserved his 1993 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame..... and the R&B Foundation “Pioneer Award”given to the group at the Apollo Theater in 2001. In the more than 40 years since Sly & the Family Stone broke up, Errico has continued playing and recording on some of rock and roll’s most historic LP’s and tours.

Playing has always been my number one interest,” Errico states, “but writing and producing are also important. A complete musician has abilities and experiences in all areas. You explore your instrument from writing and producing -- one area strengthens another.” Greg’s writing contributions brought him #1 position on world pop charts in 2014 for the song “Timber”, which was also honored at the 32nd annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards for being among the most performed ASCAP pop songs of 2014!
