Description
A cabaret celebrating the trials and tribulations of being mixed-race in America. Rebbekah Alson, Kelsey Ryan Moore, Chrissy Pardo, and Tony Ramos take a sometimes irreverent, sometimes poignant look into their love/hate relationship with the theatrical world. Come along with them as they navigate the nuance of identity as mixed-race performers in an industry driven by aesthetics.

Rebbekah Alson is a native New Yorker, a proud mixed-race genetic improbability, and a newly-minted member of Actor's Equity. A YoungArts award-winning writer, she graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s in English Literature and Theatre Arts. Favorite recent musical theater roles include creating the lead role of Suzanna in the new musical Your Name On My Lips, creating the role of spunky Intern Chuck in the interactive Pip's Island, and touring the country as Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical. Rebbekah is thrilled to be spearheading this band of ethnic chameleons and sharing her own story. This show is for all the kids who have yet to see themselves and their families onstage. www.RebbekahAlson.com

Deven Kolluri thrilled to be directing such an amazing group of actors. His past directing experience has been ensemble based, so when he heard about the story they wanted to tell, he was eager to approach the group. Being a mixed-raced American himself, this seemed like an incredible opportunity to help spread the word on the unique issues we have encountered in the current casting climate. Let’s embrace all of the beautiful colors in this nation, and let’s continue to fight for an accurate representation of that embrace. This is what the future looks like.

Chrissy Pardo is an NYC based actress originally from Nocamixon Township, PA, and is stoked to performing with her fellow mixed homies in this special show!! She was last seen as the understudy to all the Andrews Sisters in Montgomery Theater’s production of Sisters of Swing in Souderton, PA. Thanks to Mom, Dad, and especially her amazing husband and our arranger and music director, Dan Pardo. BM WCUPA, MM UNLV chrissypardo.com

Dan Pardo is honored to be sharing the stage with this talented quartet of ethnic chameleons, especially his wife, Chrissy Pardo. He is currently music-directing the world premiere of A Connecticut Christmas Carol at Goodspeed, and was recently seen at the Barrington Stage, conducting their hit production of Company, starring Aaron Tveit. Other favorites include How to Succeed at the 5th Avenue, and Found at the Philadelphia Theatre Company. In NYC, Dan has played numerous cabarets, concerts, and readings of new musicals, in addition to off-Broadway productions at the York, New Ohio, and Lucille Lortel. He made his Broadway debut in 2015 with Amazing Grace at the Nederlander Theatre. www.DanPardo.com

Kelsey Ryan Moore is NYC based actor and has worked on the development of several new musicals including Allegiance. She has performed regionally in West Side Story, South Pacific, and 42nd Street. Most recently, she performed in the Off-Broadway revival of Fiorello! at Classic Stage Company. Kelsey is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan. www.kelseyryanmoore.com

Tony Ramos is a lover of many fine things including singing great music, spending time with his beautiful wife Stephanie, and being the commissioner of an awesome fantasy football league. NYC Credits include the Pilot in The Little Prince (opera by Rachel Portman), Babes in Toyland (Avery Fisher/David Geffen Hall), Papageno in the Magic Flute (St Michael's Opera), The Cure (a vampire rock musical, NYMF), Irish Rep 25th Anniversary Gala (Broadhurst Theatre) and many readings involving the fanciest of people. When's he's not feeding his soul with music & theatre, he's the Co-Founder of the food tech startup, JoinMunch.com. He's still waiting for someone to write his dream role as a rapping, classical-singing guy.

Musical Direction & Arrangements by Dan Pardo. Directed by Deven Kolluri. Re:MIX will not be typing out their audience. All are welcome.
