Why do I need to select a category for my Purplepass event?

Once you enter an event into the Purplepass system and select a category, it will be syndicated and appear on other companies’ sites listing upcoming events. 

The process that allows promoters to select a category lets other platforms know what type of event is occurring so it appears in the appropriate listing section.
