"Israel State of Mind"

70 Years of Zionism, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Join thousands of Angelenos from all corners of our community as we come together to mark Israel's momentous occasion, its 70th Independence Day! Let’s show our unity and strength as a community and declare our solidarity with Israel.

Israel’s strength, democracy and hope for the future is a light unto the nations. With Israel in our hearts and Israeliness in our spirit, we invite you to celebrate like never before.

For 70 years, Israel has been there for us.

For one day, let’s all be there for her.

Presented by the Israeli-American Council (IAC) with the generous support of Naty and Debbie Saidoff, Celebrate Israel Festival, the largest Jewish happening in Los Angeles, will take place on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 12pm - 7pm.

Over 15,000 community members will celebrate the State of Israel with live entertainment, food, art, culture and activities for families, kids and tweens.

Headliner from Israel - STATIC & BEN EL
Roni Dalumi, Lee Biran and Eliyana Tidhar - Teen sensations from Israel
Israeli children's superstars Yuval Hamebulbal and Naama Super Al

The Past, Present and Future of Israel in Los Angeles

This year’s festival will give attendees the opportunity to go back in time and see, touch and hear the history of our great nation, learn about the innovations that came out of Israel and take part in the entrepreneurial spirit of Israel.

INDEPENDENCE HALL

Stop by Independence Hall after you stroll through Shuk HaCarmel in Tel Aviv. Former Prime Minister David Ben Gurion will be reading the historical announcement of Israel becoming a nation.

MAIN STAGE

Enjoy performances throughout the day including Israeli mega stars Static & Ben El teen sensation Lokchim Et Hazman, Israeli kids entertainers Yuval Hamebulbal and Naama Super Al, along with performances by Base Band and Macholohet Dance Group from Israel.  Official ceremony with local dignitaries will be kicked-off by the Tiger Squadron flyover at 3:15PM.

FUN THINGS TO DO FOR KIDS

A non-stop action-packed park with plenty of activities for kids. Don't miss Israeli kids idol Yuval Hamebulbal with Naama Super Al on the main stage at 2:00pm. Stop by the IAC Keshet Create Lab to design, build, create and be inspired, open all day with numerous FREE art projects. Face painting, Ramat Gan's Safari with camel rides and petting zoo, balloon art, and amusement rides for the entire family are just some of the activities you can find for your kids throughout the festival.

RIKUDAY AM - ISRAELI FOLK DANCING

Join Sagi Azran on the dance floor in front of the bar for Israeli folk dancing for all levels. Times and sessions will be posted as we get closer to the date. Folk dancing is partially sponsored by RokdimLA and MATI.

MEGA CHALLAH BAKE

After last year's huge success with the Mega Challah Bake for women and  girls, at the festival, we are bringing the activity back and hope to have over 600 women baking challah and saying a blessing together for Israel.

SHUK HACARMEL

Stroll through a vivid recreation of one of the most colorful spots in Tel Aviv. Walking through the Shuk, you will feel right at home with artists directly from Israel and local vendors selling art, jewelry, Judaica, home goods and gifts.

IAC LEAD BEER GARDEN

Stop by for drink, catch up with old friends and meet new ones at the bar/beer garden (21+ w valid ID). This is the hot spot to meet and mingle with other young professionals. Don't forget to try out your singing talents at the Karaoke area at the bar. Glance at our schedule to see what special performances are taking place at the bar as well.

DID SOMEONE SAY KOSHER?

Want to taste some authentic falafel and fantastic baked goods? Come lounge at the café and share some laughs and great coffee with friends. Looking for the best hummus, falafel or shawarma in LA? We guarantee you that they are all at the festival and all 100% certified Kosher!

IAC BINA CHILL LOUNGE

This is for sure one of the “it places” to hang out for good conversations. Relax, meet some new people, and enjoy the cool shade and exotic decor with friends at the Moroccan tent.

AMERICAN FRIENDS OF MAGEN DAVID ADOM

Magen David Adom are true friends of the festival! Support this important organization by visiting their standout red pavilion, check out the real ambulances and interactive activities they have for kids. You can also do a good deed while you’re there by donating blood! Every drop counts and saves a life.

"AHAVA" INSTALLATION

We love Jerusalem so much that we decided to recreate the famous “Ahava” statue from the Israel Museum. Pause to take your photo next to this iconic landmark and show us how much you love Israel by posting your photos on Instagram with #CelebrateIsraelFestival.
