For more than 30 years, Mr. Yancey has been working as a professional musician and educator. Mr. Yancey studied music at Mesa Community College under the direction of Mr. Grant Wolf, received his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His jazz and symphonic bands have consistently received superior ratings and awards throughout Mr. Yancey’s career. Using this experience, Mr. Yancey is very active as an adjudicator/clinician for jazz, concert band, solo and ensemble festivals, and featured guest artist throughout the Southwest and currently has many successful private students.Mr. Yancey’s professional musician credits as a woodwind double specialist include 27 years of playing music in Las Vegas. His experiences include playing all of the major showrooms (both star rooms and production shows), lounges, Broadway production shows, clubs, studios, and multiple concerts. Mr. Yancey has performed with numerous artists including, Joe Williams, Donna Summer, Wayne Newton, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Kenny Rogers, Marlena Shaw, Clint Holmes, Lou Rawles, Tony Lujan, Lori Andrews, Clark Terry, Carl Fontana, Lanny Morgan, and many others.

Marshall Raymond Hawkins has had a notable career as a jazz musician, educator, and conductor for 36 years.His professional career is a veritable history of 20th century jazz. Marshall played with Shirley Horn, the great jazz singer, for four years. He joined the Miles Davis Quintet and toured with the group nationally. He also played with Eddie Jefferson, toured with Richie Cole in Europe and Japan, and performed with Roberta Flack at DC’s Mr. Henry’s.  

After graduating from Hemet High School, where he studied low brass and jazz guitar under the direction of Jeff Tower, Sean Longstreet spent two years at Riverside Community College where he was selected to perform his primary instrument, guitar, for the President’s Honor Recital both years. Sean furthered his studies at University of Redlands to pursue a BA in music education and obtain his teaching credential. He also holds a Masters Degree from Sam Houston State University in conducting. Throughout his studies, Sean has had exciting playing opportunities including playing for the Dalai Lama with the Buddha’s Light Symphony Youth Orchestra in 1998, appearing in 2004 as the marching mandolin player in Disney’s The Princess Diaries II, and opening for the band Chicago at the Honda Center in Anaheim, CA in 2006. During his Masters program the directed the jazz ensemble, performed guitar for the world premier of Johan DeMeij’s, “At Kitty O’Shea’s,” and also performed with the Harry Waters, Eugene Rousseau, and The Boston Brass.

Jeremy Brown leads a busy life in music.  He is the Chair of Music and Director of the Menifee Jazz Ensemble at Mt. San Jacinto College in southern California.  Jeremy is active in music performance and education throughout southern California, working with many of the finest musicians and educators.  He is called on regularly to clinic and adjudicate at music festivals, and performs as a guest artist for various music programs.  His first jazz quartet album as a leader is slated to be released late in 2013.  Other recent projects include "On the Verge," a piece for big band inspired by his second son, and setting the poetry of Tennessee Williams to music in Experiment in a Glass.
