SPECIAL PERFORMANCE DIRECT from the BOULDER INTERNATIONAL FRINGE FESTIVAL Award-winning singer-songwriter MINDY DILLARD, aka sassy and modern “Princess Fearless" serves an interactive musical instrument buffet. Bring your family to learn about rhythm and harmony. Treat your ears to clawhammer banjo, guitar, ukulele and fiddle. Leave ready to conquer your fears and take on new adventures!

“Mindy Dillard is an inviting, warm figure who knows how to talk to and engage children. Her newest persona, Princess Fearless, invites children to understand that it’s normal to be afraid of things, and every fear can be overcome.  With a sweet voice and the uplifting strum of her banjo, she sings songs both classic and new, and kids love to sing along.” – Alison Nolen, Manager at Linden Tree Books, Los Altos (CA)

Mindy Dillard is an adventurer and an award-winning singer-songwriter. She plays clawhammer banjo and rhythm guitar, often in alternate tunings to accompany her electric and raw, crystal-clear voice. Her music pulsates with funky rhythmic grooves and sparkles with heartfelt storytelling. Mindy is a mythological scholar and has performed her one woman folk rock opera based on Grimm’s fairytales and the work of Clarissa Pinkola Estes internationally. In June 2015 she won Susanne Millsaps performing songwriter competition in Salt Lake City, Utah (which is also her home town). She opened for folk icon John Gorka at the 2015 Utah Arts Festival. Mindy’s musical influences include Joni Mitchell, Dar Williams, Cosy Sheridan, Stephen Sondheim and jazz luminary Ella Fitzgerald. A genre hopper, Mindy’s sound holds shades of old-time Appalachia, contemporary folk, gospel, musical theatre and rhythm and blues. Through her music she seeks to transform the ordinary into the magical and poison into medicine.
