DAVE MILLER BAND (with STEVE GOETSCH, GRANT GARSKE, BRUCE COLE) HOSTING:

    **PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES!**

    • Jim Liban (Jim Liban Combo):
*"Singer, songwriter and stellar blues harmonica player Jim Liban was known throughout the midwest in the 1970's as the leader of Short Stuff, the innovative Milwaukee based ensemble that pioneered the blues & rock sound later identified with bands like the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Stevie Ray Vaughn. He continues to perform in a more traditional vein with his trio. He has international cult status as one of the foremost post-war blues harmonica stylists, and many of his original songs have been recorded by national blues artists like Johnny Winter and Lonnie Brooks."

    • Westside Andy (The Westside Andy & Mel Ford Band)
    by R.C. Harris
*"First off, for truth in advertising, I'm a totally biased fan of Westside Andy's harp playing. Been so since dirt was invented.
More modern facts include that Hohner, Inc. lists him as an endorser alongside Rod Piazza, Toots Thielemans, & Corky Siegel, among many other great players. Those who know who these folks are, nothing further need be said. Turn the page. For those who haven't had that good fortune, know that these are giants on Planet Harmonica. Actually, Corky was one of Andy's most enthusiastic early mentors. In fact, the night they met during a Siegel/Schwall Blues Band set break, Corky asked him to sit in for the entire next set. Andy was 15. That may have been the galvanizing moment when the "Westside" story really started. Meaning thousands of gigs. Probably a million miles with a trunk full of gear, and how many late nights driving home in ice and snow in the groovy winters of Wisconsin where this blues bird resides. In the process, Andy has shared the stage with James Cotton, Luther Allison, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee, Charlie Musselwhite, Doobie Brothers, Richie Havens, Muddy Waters, Gary Primich, Jimmy Johnson, Tab Benoit, Hubert Sumlin. Ok, you get the idea. Not to mention his current long-time collaboration with Mel Ford, a blues guitarist/vocalist/songwriter of wide acclaim. And thus, the name of the band. The Westside Andy/Mel Ford Band. Like a winter night's drink. Neat and hot.
But enough of this. Give a listen, and see if the boogie man don't dance." *http://westsideandy.com/bio.aspx
    • Lil' Rev:
*"Lil Rev grew up in Milwaukee, WI where he still resides today. Growing up in the shadows of American Motors Corp, Briggs N Stratton, and A.O. Smith, he was inspired by the sights and sounds of an industrial powerhouse in flux. His music is infused with a strong sense of humility for the common man. His heroes include: Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Josh White, Sonny Terry, Cicso Houston and Leadbelly. After graduating in 1987 from John Marshall High School, Lil Rev went on to earn his Bachelors Degree in Community Education from UW-Milwaukee. Following his college education, Rev decided to take a job working for local 998 as a city bus driver under the Milwaukee County Transit System. He stayed on for 1 year before the urge for going was too strong! From 1993 to 2000, Lil Rev traveled extensively throughout the Midwest, performing in coffee houses, at house concerts, in schools, libraries, temples, on streetcorners, in taverns and at folk festivals. From 2000 to 2005, Lil Rev decided it was time to ply his trade as a full time grade school music teacher (Milwaukee Jewish Day School) and as an adjunct lecturer/music historian at The University of WI- Milwaukee. Following 5 years of teaching, the road called and Lil Rev knew it was time to court the muse once again! Since that time, Lil Rev has stayed very busy, writing over 8 instructional ukulele books for Hal Leonard, while touring North America extensively. He tours the east each fall and the south and west in the winter months, while also flying around North America to teach and perform at Ukulele Festivals. While Lil Rev is well known for his ukulele and harmonica stylings, he is also a seasoned multi-instrumentalist equally adept at old time banjo, flat-pick guitar and blues mandolin. If you're looking to book Lil Rev, he performs for kids, seniors, veterans, developmentally disabled and anyone who is willing to listen! Rev has over 24 years of music experience, working throughout the community, uplifting, empowering and entertaing all.He can be reached at lilrev@lilrev.com" *http://www.lilrev.com/about
