The SpongeBob Musical is fun for all ages!

The stakes are higher than ever in this dynamic stage musical, as SpongeBob and all of Bikini Bottom face the total annihilation of their undersea world. Chaos erupts. Lives hang in the balance. Resident scientist Sandy Cheeks (Lali Haines, the actress who played Sally Jackson in ODT Lightning Thief 2022 and the witch in ODT Into the Woods 2020) has an idea to combat the disaster, but scheming Sheldon Plankton (Chris Merritt, the actor recently seen as Holegrave in Dunstable Theater Collab’s House of the Seven Gables) looks to take advantage of the mayhem for his own gain. As Squidward Q. Tentacles (Laurie Penney, the actress who played Scuttle in ODT Mermaid 2019) plans a benefit concert to fund the town's evacuation, residents turn against Sandy for being an outsider, and Patrick's (Sabrina Denison, Deaf actress and Director of Artistic Sign Language for I was Most Alive with You, Playwrights Horizon, NYC 2018, and voiced by Heather Pruiksma, Gertrude in ODT Seussical 2017) attention is diverted by some groupies. And just when all hope seems lost, a most unexpected, sweet and earnest hero, SpongeBob (Jared Palazzo, Percy Jackson in ODT Lightning Thief 2022) rises up and with teamwork, saves the day. The power of optimism really can save the world!

This dynamic musical is a feast for the eyes and ears as it celebrates the diversity and the interconnectedness of the community in an ocean habitat and everywhere in the world around us. Get absorbed in this irreverent, delightful adaptation of the beloved cartoon. The SpongeBob Musical is sweeter and as spectacular as a pineapple under the sea.
