With fresh humor, unique staging, and larger than life characters, you are sure to see this classic presented in a new light. Join us on a journey back to the Victorian Era as we breathe new life into this older text. Jack and Algernon escape the societal pressures of their wealthy lifestyles by adopting new names. When Jack leaves the country to visit the city, he takes on a new alias, Ernest. On a mission to win the heart of the high class socialite, Gwendoline, he quickly gets tangled in his lies. Meanwhile, his dear friend Algernon visits the country to become acquainted with Jack's beautiful ward, Cecily. In good fun, Algernon stirs up chaos by also adopting the alias Ernest. With Gwendoline and Cecily both falling in love with men they believe to be named Ernest, how will these relationships unravel? Mistaken identities, judgmental mothers, witty love interests, and unconventional servants and a host of surprises await us! Will Jack and Algernon succeed in keeping up with their ruse? Will their lies come crashing down? In this production, we learn the value of being 'earnest' in our relationships with those we love. Items Not Allowed
