Modern poetry will come to life with an inspirational reading and lecture by Utah’s esteemed Poet Laureate. Paisley Redkal is the author of ten books, including the new collection of essays The Night My Mother Met Bruce Lee and the hybrid photo-text memoir, Intimate. Her books of poetry include Imaginary Vessels and Nightingale. Her work has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Fulbright Fellowship, a Civitella Ranieri Residency, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, and the AWP Creative Nonfiction Prize. Her poems and essays regularly receive national press and have appeared in The New York Times Magazine and on National Public Radio.
