Description
A COLORADO TRADITION

La Familia Denver's first Latin Jam event was offered in 1998 as the Latin Jam Music Festival at the Adams County Fairgrounds amphitheater. With few exceptions since then, Latin Jam has been held annually in several formats including concert and dance events at some of Denver's nicer venues. Whenever we have offered the event, it has drawn capacity crowds that have included Denver Chicanos as well as members of Denver's African American and Anglo communities. They come for the music, to dance, and to celebrate the culture.

As the Latin Jam event marks its 23rd anniversary and we begin to see some stabilization with the Covid pandemic in Colorado, La Familia, West of the River Productions, and our sponsors and event partners plan to stage Latin Jam '21 in Denver and Pueblo around Father's Day 2021... en el tiempo de los padres. To mark the anniversary, Latin Jam '21 will offer a special treat with that good Chicano Old School with that "Throwback" energy and quality as we feature Brother Pepe Marquez and Señorita Miriah Avila from Southern California... the Land of 1,000 Dances. We will also feature, from Denver, Xicanx - The Cruz Rendon Project, and more. Latin Jam... a Colorado tradition.

We are committed to safety and will accommodate as many as COVID protocol allows as of June 25th, however, please be advised that masks will be needed and state mandated COVID protocol in effect as of June 25th will be observed.
