Mentoring Models to Support the College Transition
from summer melt through enrollment and engagement The first panel discussion will focus on ways
High School faculty and staff can support students’
choice-making about the types of institutions and
programs that will lead them to success in college -
and on how students can become academically,
emotionally and “practically” ready.
The second panel will focus on ways to ease the
transition into college - overcoming summer melt,
selecting the "right" courses and becoming engaged in
college life, even at a distance - in order to maximize
student retention and persistence. Zoom session done as a partnership between Sons of Thunder and CHERE |
