Dani Burr Description
Acting Essentials - Playing Characters, Ages 7 to 11 Actor's must play their character, not the idea of their character. This course takes an in-depth and hands-on approach to the methodology behind character development, equipping actors with tools and techniques to holistically represent their characters. Through monologue work, structured improvisation, and artistic discussions, actors will explore both the physical and mental lives of their characters and produce a "character toolkit" from which future roles can be developed. Dani’s credits include originating the role of Dorothy in the New York premiere of Yellow Brick Monologues and starring as Gertrude in the national tour of Seussical, directed by Tony-nominated director, Marcia Milgrom Dodge. In addition to her stage performances, Dani produced the east coast workshop of Princess Diana, the Musical and developed the Metropolitan Room’s Typed Out cabaret series. Other favorite credits include The Ghost Sonata (Adele), The Rue Garden (Prudence), and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown (Lucy). This is a Live on Line Class (Zoom is free to join) Recommended for Ages 12 and up Wednesdays 7:00 to 8:30pm Classes run 6 weeks, April 22 thru May 27 Cost: $200 Instructor: Dani Burr |
