OVERVIEW A Civil Workplace: Managing rudeness in the workplace in order to increase productivity and employee retention. Rudeness destroys morale. Low morale increases employee turnover while reducing productivity. Today’s course will address how leaders (official leaders or otherwise) can put an end to rudeness in the workplace before and after it start. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Civil versus uncivil behavior defined Bullying defined and clarified Harassment defined and clarified How corporate values can help you hold people accountable for their behavior The costs of low morale and turnover The benefits of a civil workplace WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND Be the change you want to see in your work environment. Life is stressful enough, work should not be an excess amount of stress due to rudeness and uncivil behavior. AREAS COVERED We will review the definitions of civil and uncivil behavior as well as the difference between bullying and harassment. We will take a deep dive into using corporate values to hold people accountable for their behavior.
