Guest Speaker: Dr. Robert Flannery PhD | Dr. Robb Farms  Dr. Flannery is the first PhD in the United States with certified technical expertise in growing commercial Cannabis. His inspiring foray into the Cannabis Industry resulted from a quest to produce pure high quality product for his Mom, who sought to safely medicate with cannabis while battling cancer. Guest Speaker: Ed Blanco | Agricultural Labor Relations Board - ALRB  Mr. Blanco graduated from UC Davis School of Law (King Hall) in 1980. He has worked for the ALRB continuously since 1980. He has spent most of those years working for the General Counsel’s Office; starting as a front line prosecutor and subsequently has held numerous positions in the Sacramento headquarters of the ALRB General Counsel including Deputy General Counsel. Currently, he is working directly for the Board as a Special Legal Advisor. In 2016, he was given the primary responsibility of education and outreach to the Cannabis cultivator community. He has previously spoken at NCIA, CCIA and CGA events and to gatherings of cannabis cultivators, both large and small, throughout the State raising awareness about the function and importance of the labor law to cultivators and their employees.
