The Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma training course is an intensive six hour training designed to enable participants to explore the nature and dimensions of the compassion stress that mental health and addiction peers and other professionals may encounter as they promote recovery. The training will focus on the compassion fatigue and second-hand trauma issues that may surface while working with those facing mental health and/or addiction as well as effective strategies to prevent burn-out . Training methods utilized will be lecture-discussion, small group activities and skill practice.
Six (6) Continuing Education Units will be awarded to Compassion Fatigue and Vicarious Trauma training participants. Registration: 8:30am Training: 9:00am-4:30pm Trainers: Dr. Jacqualyn Green & Stan DeKemper Additional Information
PLEASE NOTE there is a nonrefundable, nontransferable, $10.00 registration fee.There is only one registration per person; multiple registrations will not be accepted. The name in which you register with will be the name on the certificate. (e.g. if you register with "IAIC Employee" that will be the name on the certificate), no alterations or changing of names.
