Description

Fetish is not a mental illness or a moral failure. It is a sexual orientation; you were born this way. Being differently pleasured can be difficult enough without the stigma of mental illness, so let's look at the facts; It is estimated that 26.2% of Americans suffer from Mental Illness - that's 57.7 million people. Furthermore 8-11% of the population engage in BDSM. So naturally, a percentage of them will suffer from mental illness. But correlation isn't causation.

Come join us in an interesting & thought provoking discussion that will challenge your belief systems, and open up new possibilities as we explore the Neuroscience of S&M, and how you can use it to rid yourself of unwarranted shame, create more powerful Domination skills and more easily recognize when someone is dangerously unstable

In this class you'll learn:

  • Genetics: Are we hard wired to be Kinky? What role does environment play in fetishes?
  • Anatomy of the Brain; How the Amygdala, Pre-Frontal Cortex and Hippocampus function. Are they different in a Kinky Brain?
  • Neurology: What role do chemicals and hormones play in the kinky mind: Oxytocin, Endorphins, Adrenaline, Dopamine and who they effect the mind and body of the differently pleasured.
  • How to use neurolinguistic priming and pairing for more effective slave training to give you the ultimate upper hand
  • Anatomy of the Body: The Pain / Pleasure Principal. Why people can experience enhanced pleasure after the infliction of pain and how anyone can be conditioned to enjoy pain.
  • Identifying and defining mental illnesses; the difference between Mental Illness and Insanity. Dealing with the "Delusion Bubble" (Depression, Anxiety, MMD, PTSD, ADHD, BPD, Bi Polar, Aspergers, Schizophrenia, NPD, Psychopathy, Sociopath, Duel Diagnosis and more;
  • When is someone dangerous and how to keep yourself safe using the grey rock method.
  • Creating a "Safe Space" in (DBT Intimacy Circle) and out of scene (voice, lighting, music, touch)
  • The Pro-Domme often wears the therapist hat. While this gives many a sense of meaning and purpose, it also may give them "caretaker's burnout". We'll give you a few tips and how to spot it before it gets out of hand and how to treat it if you're already there.
  • Different classes of medications and how they impact our sexuality.
