KURT
‘N’ PAT: SPIES 4 HIRE!!! is a whimsical and heartwarming new musical
featuring dozens of characters played by only two actors. When Kurt and
Patricia Mortensen are deemed unfit for a career on the Tri-City police
force, their passion for the world of spies, detectives, and murder
mysteries compels them take a DIY approach to crime solving. As a newly
founded husband and wife private-investigating team—with the best
intentions but the worst competence—they accidentally stumble into the
middle of a major underground criminal conspiracy. In a world that can
best be described as Mission Impossible and Sherlock Holmes meet
Napoleon Dynamite and Fargo, KURT ‘N’ PAT: SPIES 4 HIRE!!! is, at its
heart, a story about two unlikely heroes with a dream of making the
world a better place… and somehow, in spite of themselves, they do! This
is a workshop presentation of a musical in development.
