Description
Queernucopia returns for its eighth successful show at The Duplex, with an outstanding evening of hilarity, diversity, and really good lighting. Our show includes comics featured on Netflix, Oxygen, Sirius XM, the She-Devil Comedy Festival, as well as major clubs and festivals all over the country.

Calvin Cato got his comedic start with the Wesleyan University stand-up comedy troupe Punchline, and then transferred his unique brand of humor to New York City in 2006. His television and radio appearances include Sirius XM, Game Show Network, Oxygen, National Geographic, and an unaired pilot for Vice Media called Emergency Black Meeting. His comedy has been featured in San Francisco Sketchfest, Austin’s Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, and the Cinder Block Comedy Festival. In addition, you may have heard him overshare on many podcasts including Keith and The Girl, The Beige Philip Show, and Tinder Tales. In 2017, Calvin was named one of Time Out New York's Queer Comics of Color to Watch Out For. You can catch Calvin every Monday as the host/producer of Ed Sullivan on Acid at Freddy's Bar in Brooklyn, one of the longest running free comedy shows in Brooklyn.

Jeena Bloom is a New York City-based transgender female standup who performs all over the country.  She has appeared in Vice, New York Magazine, and on SiriusXM.

Meghan Frank is a stand up comedian living in NYC. She can be seen performing in venues all over the city, including Duplex, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, The Lantern, and Le Poisson Rouge. Meghan also co-hosts the  Let's Hang? and Hot Fuss comedy shows, both in the East Village.

Garry Hannon is a Boston-born Irish Catholic Homosexual whose comedy stems from his upbringing and his gay-married situation. Strict Gemini milk drinker with a cute dog addiction, and someone who doesn’t see the glass half full or empty, he just puts more wine in!  Garry hosts and produces Funny Ha Ha Funny Queer–running for over five years–"Bears of Comedy" in Provincetown MA, and has been seen an episode of "Mysteries at the Museum".

Dana Friedman is, in all likelihood, New York's first Orthodox Jewish, transsexual comic. Her performances address a wide variety of topics, including many outside the very unusual norms of standup comedy.

She has been featured on “Best Of The Fest” at the She-Devil Comedy Festival, and appeared with or opened for Janeane Garofalo, Lizz Winstead, Yanis Pappas, Christian Finnegan, Julia Scotti, and other major headliners at clubs and theaters all over the New York tri-state area and occasionally beyond, when her parole officer is on vacation.

And our headliner:

Tim Dillon is a Stand up comedian, writer, and actor. He was a new face at the Montreal Comedy Festival in 2016. He won the title of New York's Funniest 2016 at Carolines NY Comedy Festival. In 2017 he was named of the top ten comics you need to know by Rolling Stone magazine. He has two specials premiering in 2018, a Comedy Central Half Hour and a Netflix Quarter hour. He created and hosts Tim Dillon's Real NY Tour which takes the audience on a double decker bus through Manhattan. He has performed at the Oddball Comedy Festival, the Glasgow Comedy Festival, SXSW, among others. He has been on the Christ Gethard show on Fusion, Gotham Comedy Live on AXS tv, Fox's Red Eye, Tru Tv's Comedy Knockout, and season two of WYFD with Big Jay Oakerson on Seeso. He hosts a Podcast called “Tim Dillon is Going to Hell”.
