Description
Ms.
Foxy V teases apart the legend of the deadly woman: the Siren, the
Femme Fatale, the Temptress. From Circe and Eve to Rita Hayworth, who is
this sultry seductress and why are men so afraid of her? Through a
variety of delectable songs from the likes of Eartha Kitt, Tom Waits,
Harold Arlen, and the Gershwins, Ms. Foxy V strips down the archetype to
humanize this dark goddess and explore our common desire for
temptation. Foxy V is a burlesque performer, vocalist, and actor who has performed all over New York City for the past 8 years. Originally from Alabama with a pit stop in Memphis, Foxy studied at the NY School of Burlesque and has since performed at Joe's Pub, (le) Poisson Rouge, Highline Ballroom, Standard Hotel, Cutting Room, and the Slipper Room. She has danced with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and been spanked by Robin Byrd. She produced and hosted a burlesque benefit for Planned Parenthood NYC, raising money for women's health. Foxy last hosted fellow burlesque performers on The Duplex Cabaret stage in 2014. $10 Ticket in Advance & a 2 Drink Minimum in the Cabaret Theatre* $15 Ticket at the Door (plus service fee) & a 2 Drink Minimum in the Cabaret Theatre* *Drinks Must be purchased In the Cabaret Theatre to count towards the Minimum.
