Description
An evening of new musical theater songs drawn from the gay literary canon. Julian Hornik is the composer of “Tenn,” a new musical based on the early life of Tennessee Williams, which premiered at Symphony Space last spring, and was subsequently developed at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills through the ASCAP Workshop, directed by Stephen Schwartz.  His musical adaptation of Jame’s Baldwin’s “Giovanni’s Room” premiered at Yale in 2015. He has performed his songs at the Kennedy Center, New York City Center (with Sutton Foster and Jonathan Groff), and with the San Francisco and Los Angeles Gay Men’s Choruses. Other credits include jingles for Fresh and Easy Supermarkets and Disney Vacation Club. He is a recent graduate of Yale University (otherwise known as the Gay Ivy).
