Newport Beach, CA. – Stonebridge Productions has announced the details for the highly anticipated concert event, “The Great Nisei Reunion III”, the third (and last) in the series of nostalgic big band concerts created and presented for “the greatest generation, the Nisei”.

The Great Nisei Reunion III will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, and will feature The Harry James Orchestra and The Modernaires. Also on the bill are the dynamic Island Crooners and special guest, Mary Kageyama Nomura, The Songbird of Manzanar.

According to producer, Gerald Ishibashi of Stonebridge, this series of concerts is very close to his heart. “My mom was a huge big band fan,” says Ishibashi. “When I first started producing shows, I hired many of her favorite performers like Andy Russell, Connie Haines, Tex Beneke and others… it made her so happy; because like so many other Nisei, my mom said that music was like a magic tonic to get them through the oft times oppressive camp days.” He added, “

And my mother in law, Mary Kageyama Nomura, The Songbird Of Manzanar, is still going strong at 92 years young and will be a guest vocalist with The Harry James Orchestra! This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for many Sansei, Yonsei and even Gosei to share a life experience with their Nisei parents, grandparents and great grandparents. It is going to be a great show!”

The Great Nisei Reunion III will be presented at The Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center located at 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd in Redondo Beach at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 12, 2017.
