Description
Intermediate Puppetry – In this class we will expand upon the basics techniques of puppetry (including lip-sync, eye focus, movement, acting, scene work and characterization), as well as exploring other types of puppetry, using real puppets. It is recommended that students in this class have attended the basic class, or have experience with puppetry. Students will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to be a puppeteer, using puppets similar to the ones used in Avenue Q and The Muppets. Techniques learned here are directly applicable to stage performances, such as those seen in MTOC’s summer production of “The Little Mermaid”. Students will have the opportunity for perform in the MTOC Showcase on November 18th.
