This series of lectures will be held monthly on the last Tuesday of the Month starting at 6 pm.  Each seminar will last between 1 and 1.5 hours and may include demonstrations or lab time.  This series is designed to give affordable and quick continuing education to clinicians in our community.  All benefits will go to support the HUG clinic ability to “Go mobile” throughout the valley offering our unique services to those in need. 

Our upcoming lecture series:

July 25^th: Management of a Worker’s Compensation Patient

·         Presented by: Steven Goodman, PT

·         This program is designed as an introduction to the terminology and approach for professionals seeking to promote safe, timely return to functionality and work. It describes clinical methods to safely facilitate injured employees’ return to work. The focus is on programs and techniques employers can use to improve communication and proactively manage workers’ compensation concerns, as well as describes the physical rehabilitation components and commonly used treatment options.

August 29^th: Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

·         Presented by: Erica Noel, PT

·         Basic utilization of instrument assisted soft tissue and associated theory.  Short Lab segment included.  Bring your own tool(s).

October 24th: Intro to LSVT Big 

Presented by: Kathleen Salik PT, DPT, NCS, CCCE

This course is a 30 minute introduction to LSVT Big programming for patients with Parkinson's followed by at 30 minute lab practicing the exercise
