Welcome to GateWay Community College’s Light Rail Lecture Series!
This series of lectures will be held monthly on the last Tuesday of the Month starting at 6 pm. Each seminar will last between 1 and 1.5 hours and may include demonstrations or lab time. This series is designed to give affordable and quick continuing education to clinicians in our community. All benefits will go to support the HUG clinic ability to “Go mobile” throughout the valley offering our unique services to those in need. Our upcoming lecture series: August 29th: Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization · Presented by: Erica Noel, PT · Basic utilization of instrument assisted soft tissue and associated theory. Short Lab segment included. Bring your own tool(s). September 26th: Special Population update: Pulmonary Dysfunction Presented by: Erica Noel, PT This course on pulmonary dysfunction will be a basic overview/review of common diagnoses, treating the lung to improve function, outcome measure and goal setting. October 24th: Intro to LSVT Big Presented by: Kathleen Salik PT, DPT, NCS, CCCE This course is a 30 minute introduction to LSVT Big programming for patients with Parkinson's followed by at 30 minute lab practicing the exercise November 28th : Session to be Determined Upcoming topics Fall 2017: Early mobilization of Ventilator Dependent Patients Medical Imaging Panel: Which is the best to see pathology? Cost: $30 per session or purchase a series pass which allows you to attend 4 sessions within a year for $100!
