This is a tentative outline of Family Weekend. 

 Friday-

5PM -7PM   Lakeside Registration –We will have cold water and snacks. The lobby will be cool and relaxing. 

 We will allow the students to check in for families that will be arriving late or on the next morning.

*As part of registration, we will offer parents a chance to get a coupon to allow them to go to the Tractor Pull at the students’ price of $10 instead of $15 non student price.

If you are arriving early ABAC’s Fillies Softball Team plays at 4PM and 6PM against Canadian Futures on Friday, October 7th

Saturday-

8AM-9:45AM ABAC FARM TOURS- This has been the hit of the weekend for the past four years. You hop on the bus or tram at the Ag. Sciences Building and away you go. I bet you will learn something new about ABAC.

10AM - 2PM   The Bookstore will be OPEN!  Get your $5.00 Off Coupon at Registration

10:00AM-12:00 noon “Questions Anyone?" Your students have been here a month and a half, what now? You will have an opportunity to talk to the administration, faculty and staff about happenings on campus.

12:00 -1:00PM Lunch on your own.  Choose from our local restaurants that offer ABAC discounts.  

Tour Georgia Museum of Agriculture (Sat. Hours 9AM- 5PM) Take part in a Big Scavenger Hunt if you chose. Families will receive the information sheet and bracelets when you enter the Village at the country store. You must wear bracelet at all times when in the village.  The winners will be chosen from the complete and correct entries. Prizes will be awarded after supper. Scavenger Hunt ends at 4:00PM when the village closes. Turn them in at the Country Store

Corn Maze, Pumpkin Patch and General Store closes at 5:00 PM

6:00PM Chili Supper at GMA Opry Pavilion. We will be entertained by the ABAC Jazz Band (Under the direction of  

Dr. Thomas Heflin).  While listening to fine music we can roast our own s’mores.

 Off to the Tractor Pull or off to bed after a fun day.
