Description
Praying While Staying Committed, a new play by Ursula and East Texas Chapter NAACP Award Winning Writer, Director and Actor Dedrick Weathersby, celebrates the strength of the family unit by exploring the trials families often endure. You will meet three couples, different in their strengths and weaknesses, but united in their humanity. Henry has betrayed his wife Margaret for decades -- only for Margaret to take her frustration out on Henry's daughter. Meanwhile, Deacon Jones, a widower, finds solace in the younger Tina, without realizing the extent of his own vulnerability. Finally, miscarriages and petty greed have undermined the once-strong marriage of Brian and Cindy, jeopardizing its very future. As the stories of these six unfold, each couple eventually must answer the same question: Will they keep their vows?
