It was an idea that was in my heart ever since the year 1996. I was turned down by two other stations in the Denver who both told me "there is no interest in the type of show you want to do." In 2006 KUVO 89.3FM gave me the opportunity to bring that idea to life, and for that I'm grateful. As the shows popularity grew, I needed to move on to a platform and network that would allow for further and future growth. Currently, the digital station at www.kzkoradio.com and the terrestrial station KGNU 88.5FM/1390AM are home base for A Funk Above The Rest. Little did I know, that many more opportunities would present themselves in the future. Along the way, syndication both nationally and internationally came into the fold. Along the way, concert booking and promotion came into the fold. Along the way TV appearances, radio, and magazine interviews came into the fold. Along the way, becoming a media outlet for other local and national level events came into the fold. Now I have a full service entertainment company that is connected around the world. I sincerly thank those of you who have supported my endeavors along the way. You have contributed to the success of A FUNK ABOVE THE REST in one way or another - Thank you, thank you, thank you! So, to commemorate my 10 year anniversary and as a way of further saying thank you, along with some special partners (Executive Concerts), we have organized a music festival full of funk, soul, and jazz for you to come and enjoy! For a funky good time, to come out and celebrate with us, do so! Its gonna be A FUNK ABOVE THE REST!!! The first national hit making group I ever booked was SLAVE! Its fitting that I ask them to join me for this 10 year celebration. This will be one of the most happening events of 2016! Come out and enjoy the refreshing scenery, open air atmosphere, and spacious landscape, of Regional Park in Brighton Co. Just 25 minutes north of Denver. TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE GATES!!!! 1. VIP includes tables & chairs with seating in front of stage (8 seats to a table). 2. Reserved VIP Table for 8. 3. VIP reserved tent table for 8 (only 12 available). 3. Preferred seating - chairs
