Description
On Sunday December 9th, the 11th annual Scituate North Pole Express will be sponsored by the Scituate CORSE Foundation and SHORE. The spirit of the holiday will descend upon the quaint village of Scituate, Massachusetts as children embark on a magical train ride to the North Pole. This 60-90 minute train ride departing from the Greenbush Commuter Rail Station (247 Old Driftway) to the North Pole will delight children and adults alike.   Children will be entertained with the reading of this classic story of “The Polar Express”, have milk and cookies, sing Christmas carols, and be visited by Santa’s Elves, Frosty, Rudolph, and the big man in red, Santa, and Mrs. Claus. Children are encouraged to wear their pajamas to get into the spirit of the event.  Each child will receive a special “first gift of Christmas” from Santa. This magical event will have four trains departing at 9:45am, 11:55am, 2:40pm or 4:40pm. There is a choice for a car on the 11:55 train for families of children with special needs.  Passengers should be at the station at least 30 minutes prior to departure time.
