Description
This concert celebrates and highlights women composers throughout history as they shattered the glass ceiling of composition in the musical establishment. Journey through the medieval, Romantic, and modern ages of music. Featured composers include Hildegard von Bingen (12th century), Francesca Caccini  (17th century), Alice Parker (20th century), and Libby Larsen (current Grammy winner).  Some selections spotlight the vibrant sounds from the women of the Chorale, and some will include the Lexington Catholic Advanced Women's Choir and the Lexington Christian Academy Women's Chorus.
