Suspension bondage is one of the most rewarding forms of BDSM, and one of the most challenging. From The Ground Up 101 & 102 is an intensive two weekend course that will not only teach you how to safely suspend your partner, but will give you the mastery to do so with confidence and style. 

FTGU takes a rigorous approach to suspension bondage, with a focus on safety and mastery. Rather than introducing numerous techniques and variations, Suspended Animation focuses on developing a deep understanding of fundamental principles, and drilling basic techniques until they are flawless. In combination with our 4:1 ratio of students to instructors and our comprehensive class text, this approach gives students the best possible start on their rigging careers. 

This unique intensive is structured as follows:

• From the Ground Up Intro: Thursday, April 30th, 7:30pm-10:30pm (REQUIRED for all students)
• From the Ground Up 101 and 102, Saturday option: Full day intensives on Saturday, May 2nd and Saturday, June 13th

Each session is limited to 12 students and is pre-sale ONLY- we anticipate that these sessions will sell out. The price for each session is $300 per person- this includes the Thursday intro, AND two full days (either Saturdays or Sundays) of instruction. 

About Suspended Animation:

Founded in 2008, Suspended Animation is dedicated to the kinetic art of full suspension rope bondage. We teach, perform, and demonstrate suspension bondage in Seattle and elsewhere, and run a large Burning Man camp. 

We are known for our relentless focus on safety and technical excellence, and for our approachable, non-dogmatic approach to BDSM. We're here to see how much fun we can have without getting arrested, and to make world-class kink accessible to as many people as possible. We aren't big fans of labels, but our style can probably be loosely described as "West Coast Fusion". Our bondage tends to be highly dynamic, engaged, and informal. 

Suspended Animation has been teaching From the Ground Up since 2009, and have trained numerous highly capable riggers (including most of our crew). For 2015, we're introducing v. 2 of FTGU, a completely revised and restructured version of this already highly successful course. We’re confident that for the committed student, there is no better way to learn suspension bondage.
