Joe Boucher

Description
Joe Boucher – Piano and Vocals

Because of the pandemic 2021 Biddeford WinterFest was cancelled. However, a number of participants got together for a Biddeford 2021 WinterWeek with virtual events. City Theater did not want to miss the opportunity.

Joe Boucher's annual concert at Winterfest had featured the Biddeford High School Jazz Band and chorus and a portion of the proceeds went to support BHS Music.

City Theater contacted Joe and Local Access TV to enlist their support and the result is a virtual sols concert with Joe Boucher filmed at City Theater. And to benefit Biddeford High School music.

The show will be available from Thursday February 18 - Sunday February 21st with tickets for the show available on City Theater's website with a suggested donation of $10.

Joe Boucher was born in Biddeford, Maine and was raised in this city the youngest of five children graduating from BHS in 1987.  He studied at USM and UMaine Orono before embarking on a 30 year career in technical theater living for a time in Washington DC and touring internationally as a stage manager.  For 14 seasons Joe has been the Concert Manager for The Portland Symphony Orchestra.

As a singer-songwriter, Joe fronted the power pop band Frotus Caper recording and releasing four critically acclaimed albums while performing constantly.  Throughout that time he worked regularly as a studio session musician, playing piano and arranging pop, rock and folk songs for many artists.

In 2011 he created the orchestral pops concert “Piano Men - The Music of Elton and Billy”.  It was followed up with “Classic Rock” in 2014 and “IMAGINE - The Beatles Solo Years” in 2018.  All three shows have performed to sold out audiences with orchestras around the country.

Joe and his wife Barbara Raths live in Cape Elizabeth with their eleven year old son Henry and their six year old twins, George and Jane and a rescue dog named Pepper.  Most summer nights they can be found sitting on the back porch listening to the Red Sox.
