Description
Current American Heart Association standards for one and two rescuer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and obstructed airway procedures on the adult, infant and pediatric victim.  Use of automated external defibrillator and resuscitative equipment.  Students receive healthcare provider BLS eCard upon successful completion of the course.  


STEP 1:  Students are to go to the following site and take the online course (fee is $31.00 payable directly to the American Heart Association) PRIOR to taking this class.

STEP 2The cost for skills assessment is $25 which covers the cost of skills instruction and your card.   Register through PurplePass and pay the $25 fee to reserve a seat in class.  You need to complete both the online portion (step 1) and the skills portion (step 2) in order to be eligible to receive your AHA BLS Provider card.  You will receive your card on the same day upon successful completioni of the skills course.  Please add one ticket to your cart and pay the fee to reserve your seat.


Step 3:  Attend the in person skills session at the Southwest Skill Center, located on the Estrella Mountain Community College Campus, 3000 N Dysart Rd, Avondale, AZ  85392.  

Due to COVID-19, students will need to enter the Southwest Skill Center through the doors just north of the main entrance.  The main entrance will not be open for public access.  Please follow the EMT/CPR signs.


Parking:  Please enter off of Dysart and Thomas and  park in the lot just left of the entrance.  


Please Note: 
  • Students must take the elearning portion of the class by following the link above prior to coming to the campus to get checked off on the skills.  
  • Students must print off their certificate of completion of the online AHA course and bring it to class with them to be eligible to participate in the skills course.
  • Students who do not have their certificate of completion of the online course will not be eligible to take the skills course, regardless of payment.  
  • All registration fees are non-refundable.  
  • Seating is limited.

**Students will be required to wear masks for the skills portion of the program.  Class size is limited to 12 students to maintain safe distancing.**
