Description

Honeck-Moss Productions is proud to present “In The Works.”  This exciting series is an opportunity for composers to try out new work in front of an audience and see how it plays in a supportive environment.  It is also a chance to create a community among the composers and their performers.

In The Works will be presented monthly and feature three composers or composer teams, each presenting about 20 minutes of new material.  This month features the works of composers: Alex Goldie Golden, Lauren Gundrum & Brandon Lambert, and Jason Weisinger.  Hosted by: Thomas Honeck.

ALEX GOLDIE GOLDEN is an NYC-based composer and music director. Recent credits: Williamstown Theatre Festival (AMD, Late-Night Cabaret Series, MD: Cody Owen Stine), Ars Nova workshop production of The Hole Story, (MD, Composer: Andrew R. Butler), Annie (Conductor/Keys 1, Wagon Wheel Center for the Performing Arts), Joey and Ron (Conductor/Keys 1, Composer: Joel Esher), Beauty and the Beast (MD, New London Barn Playhouse), Ghost the Musical (Conductor/Keys 1), and Next to Normal (MD). She was a featured composer in the 2019 New York Musical Festival concert, Head and Heart. She works with Music Theatre International and is a pianist for the incredible Story Pirates. LAUREN GUNDRUM is a NYC-based lyricist, librettist, and producer. Her debut musical PharmaBro ran Off-Broadway in summer 2017 and was nominated for an OBA Award for Best New Musical of the season. PharmaBro had a sold-out developmental run at The Workshop Theatre during the 2016 Midtown International Theater Festival and has been featured in Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, The NY Post and The NY Times. Lauren is a member of the Tony-nominated BMI Musical Theatre Workshop, the Dramatist Guild, and she has held residencies with Players Theatre and the Apples and Oranges Accelerator. http://www.laurengundrum.com  


BRANDON LAMBERT is a New York-based songwriter and actor.  In 2017 Brandon and Gary S. Jaffe's musical At First Sight was commissioned and produced by the Mountain Playhouse, and over the past few years, Brandon has had five TYA shows commissioned and produced by Gretna Theatre. As an actor, he starred as Marcus on the national tour and then the Canadian premiere of Murder for Two and has worked regionally at the Pittsburgh CLO, the Pittsburgh Public, and Flat Rock Playhouse.  He is a member of the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop (Advanced, Harrington Award), the Dramatists Guild, and Actors' Equity.


JASON WEISINGER is a GRAMMY-nominated multidisciplinary artist based out of Brooklyn, NY. His music has been performed throughout New York City in venues such as HERE Arts Center, The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, The Duplex, & Cornelia St. Cafe. Jason has appeared as a featured soloist singing with the Boston POPS, Mark Morris Dance Group, Metropolitan Opera's New Works Program, and New York Philharmonic Orchestra. He has served as music director for The Ninth Hour (Metropolitan Museum of Art), Ruth (Goodman Theater), and Fora (Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center). Jason is a composer in the BMI Lehman Engel Advanced Musical Theater Workshop, a member of GRAMMY-winning choir The Crossing, and GRAMMY-nominated Choir of Trinity Wall Streetwww.jasonweisinger.com IG - @jasonweisinger
