As the days dwindle to her 40th birthday, your favorite cabaret hostess Melissa McGuire reflects on 4 decades of her road less traveled. From shattered dreams of Broadway stardom to a gritty career in the bar business, a sweaty career in fitness, over 100 Tinder Dates as reported by The New York Post, two marriages, plus a shady family history, Melissa’s mid-life cabaret crisis is sure to deliver some revelations. Featuring songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jule Styne, Irving Berlin and other master Broadway composers, Melissa explores the fleeting innocence of young adulthood, the disappointment and jadedness of unrealized dreams, and remaining optimistic despite life’s setbacks. Robert Geils and Kellen Schult join in the fun as compliments to Melissa’s story with music direction by the incomparable Tony Bellomy.
