Description
A classically trained chanteuse and hilariously irreverent drag queen who got her start on the stage and clubs of New York, Gilda Wabbit sparkled her way across the city in Sasha Velour’s Nightgowns, Bronx Opera’s Le Nozze di Figaro, and her previous one woman show Open Season before becoming a featured Playmate at Louisville’s Play Dance Bar. After conquering the Midwest and New York City drag and opera scenes, Gilda Wabbit is taking her Big Gay Opera Show on the road across the country to capture the heart of America.
Tackling everything from Mozart and Puccini to Elvis and Old Spice commercials, Gilda Wabbit takes audiences on a journey through important operas and the pop culture they inspired, drawing parallels that give modern audiences a glimpse into why classical music remains so important today. (Please note: venue is 21+)
