Mesa Community College and Desert Echoes Flute Project are thrilled to introduce the MCC Summer Flute Project, June 17-22, 2019. Week-long participants will enjoy warm-up classes to start the morning before rehearsing in chamber ensembles with artist coaches and playing in the larger SFP Flute Choir. There will be 12:30 lunch-time concerts Tuesday – Thursday. Engaging flute classes and master classes are offered every day with the guest artists and artist faculty. Topics are selected from tone, breathing, articulation/tonguing, extended techniques, low flutes, world flutes, intonation, vibrato, acoustics of the flute, leadership skills, selecting a new flute, repair and maintenance, performance anxiety, reading sessions, and more. The program is available to college and high school students and adult flutists. Single afternoon tickets: $40 Tuesday – Friday 12:30pm-4:00pm Includes the 12:30 Lunch-time concerts Tuesday – Thursday and an additional class opportunity with Dr. Clayton on Friday Additional Information
