Nebraska Wind Symphony Description
The Nebraska Wind Symphony's Spring concert theme is "Ladies Day".
We are under the leadership of Larry MacTaggart, Music Director. We feature original concert band music written by women. NWS has invited these local area band directors to conduct the group. - Dr. Karen Fannin, Director of Bands, University of NE-Omaha - Dr. Michelle Blufford, Director of Bands, Elkhorn South High School - Chris Tucker, Director of Bands, Gretna High School - Lauren Milbourn, Assistant Director of Bands, Millard South High School This concert also features NWS Percussionist, Analynn Fassler, NWS percussionist, performing "Conversations for Marimba and Band".Guest emcee, Jennifer Griswold, narrates a special tribute to Nebraska Ladies in Uniform.
