roxy + company and Bree Breeden Description
Embodied Spaces II: a choreography festival is a five day choreography festival. roxy + company presents their work alongside a different featured artist each night.
November 9th features work from Bree Breeden: Breeanah Tre'Chelle Breeden (Cheraw, SC) is a graduate of Montclair State University where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. Currently, she is the Managing Director/ company member of Proteo Media + Performance and the Operations Associate at Movement Research. She is also a company member of VON HOWARD PROJECT and MICHIYAYA Dance. Bree will be creating work alongside her two collaborators Anya Clarke and Alexander Diaz. Bree, Anya and Alexander are using different modes to explore the gestural language of blackness. Black bodies, black friends- we are using this new work as a means to communicate and collaborate from a distance (“our way”). Embodied Spaces II: a choreography festival is from November 7-11, 2018 Show starts at 8pm doors open at 7:15 performance ends at 9:00pm followed by a moderated discussion with wine! |
