Description
What is Collective Artists? Collective Artist is DVDance’s initiative to create & acknowledge more art in the Silicon Valley. The concept is simple; provide more opportunities for art and artists to be seen. We do this by absorbing the overhead cost of publicity, administration and theater rental, etc., making this a completely free event.
DVDance and its committee celebrates the unique
diversity, innovative imagination and the excellences of local artists by
fostering supportive environments for artists to grow. We do this by
presenting opportunities for art to be seen on stage. In addition, we celebrate
and recognize local influential art mentors of the Silicon Valley. WE DO THIS BY: * honoring artists and the contributions of those who support their work
* acknowledge and promote the role of artists in enriching our community
* promote the highest levels of artistic achievement
* provide a historical and cultural context for dance
* encourage the development of informed audiences
Our organization is proud to announce a partnership with the “It Gets Better Project”- our charity of choice this year.
The It Gets Better Project is a nonprofit organization with a mission to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe. Growing up isn’t easy, especially when you are trying to affirm and assert your sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It can be a challenging and isolating process – but, the good news is, no one has to do it alone.
Our campaign’s goal is to raise $5000 for charity at our event August, 25th, 2018. Any donation to the raffle/silent auction is greatly appreciated. DVDance is a tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. All donations are 100% tax deductible.
DVDance has catered the Collective Artist into an annual fundraising event being held this year at the Mountain View Performing Art Center, Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at 7:30pm. As you know, financial support is extremely important to any organizations as we rely on donations to provide services in the community. Our organization’s ability to operate is possible by the generous support of individual artists such as yourself. We thank you for your artistry and cherish your ability to make our world more beautiful, through art.
