Description

On 11/7/14 a benefit/fundraiser will be held at 11th Frame Bar and Grill in Madison, AL for Wounded Warriors Family Foundation.  This benefit will showcase local and regional Americana/Country talent.

Chris Garrison and the Blackbirds

Chris Garrison is a compelling Texas singer-songwriter whose style is an organic blend of Acoustic-Americana and Rock. His major influences range from artists such as Lyle Lovett and Bob Dylan to Patty Griffin and Bruce Springsteen. Chris has played his music all over the South having toured with Better Than Ezra, Drivin’ n Cryin’ and The Connells with his band Meantree. While living in Nashville, he was a regular performer and fan favorite at songwriter venues like The Bluebird Café and Douglas Corner. He has been featured on Nashville’s Lightning 100 radio station, and was also nominated for best alt-country songwriter in the Nashville Scene reader’s poll. Chris is excited to be a part of the emerging Northern Alabama music scene and is currently touring in support of his latest release “That’s The Way It Goes”.

Rob Aldridge

Rob Aldridge is a young singer/songwriter from Huntsville, Alabama and based out of Muscle Shoals. His sound could be categorized as soulful with an undeniable southern flare. He is certainly capable of bringing the rock. His influences include The Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Al Greene, Billy Joel, The Beach Boys, The Black Crowes, Wilco, Ryan Adams & the Cardinals, and the Drive-by Truckers. Rob has been playing shows since the age of 13. He is signed to writing/publishing contract with Nutthouse studios. He’s played with Gary Nichols (FAME studios songwriter), Rob Malone (Drive by Truckers, Fiddleworms), Jason Isbell, Scott Boyer III (Leon Russell) and David Hood (Muscle Shoals Sound).

Bonner Black

Bonner Black has always known she wanted to be an entertainer. Whether fulfilling her purpose as an entertainer meant being a classical ballerina for 11 years, performing at the Coffee Tree or singing a Shania Twain song through her hairbrush atop her bed to a sea of stuffed animals, she's always been comfortable with standing up in front of a crowd.

The Huntsville native recently moved to Nashville to further her singing and songwriting career. She assures she's not trying to be the next Taylor Swift. Rather than trying to be someone she's not, she's trying to show the world who she is; the edgy country-pop singer who performs in high heels, the songwriter who will pull over during a bike ride near her family home in Hot Rock, Tenn. to pen a song, and the girl who memorizes Edgar Allen Poe poetry with her closest friends.  You can find more information about Bonner at www.bonnerblack.com.
