Analisa Bell Description
From the searing sun of the land down under, to the frozen tundra of Northern Minnesota, join Analisa Bell and Nichole Carey for an evening of stories and songs from two friends that grew up celebrating the holidays VERY differently. Featuring classic seasonal favorites along with a few unexpected surprises, this is sure to be a night you don’t want to miss! With Blake Brauer as Musical Director Analisa Bell graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in2000, and has since performed in a number of musicals and theatre productions in Oz, including Oklahoma, Les Miserables and The Vagina Monologues (2007 ITA Best Actress Award, Australia). As a critically acclaimed cabaret performer, she toured the cabaret and festival circuits in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth before moving to NYC at the end of 2014. She is an Alumni of the International Cabaret Conference at Yale, won the 2015 Annual Broadway Spring Festival Cabaret Competition, was a Semi-Finalist in the 2016 MetroStar Challenge at the Metropolitan Room, and has performed at the Metropolitan Room, The Duplex and 54 Below. She is currently mentored by Tony Award-winner, Faith Prince. Nichole Carey is an accomplished cabaret vocalist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has performed at many well-respected Twin Cities music venues including Honey, Jazz Central, Vieux Carré, and the Dakota Jazz Club. She is also a published writer as well as a director and producer, having created and starred in several well-received musical revues at the Bryant Lake Bowl theatre and cabaret. She made her Chicago debut at Davenport’s last Fall with her production “Girl from the North Country”. She is a member of the Twin Cities Cabaret Artist Network and an alum of the prestigious International Cabaret Conference at Yale University. She is thrilled to be returning to the Duplex after making her NYC debut there last Spring.
