Description
In this irreverent and chaotic evening of music, cabaret performer Frantic McDormand opines on her disdain for heterosexual men, gets sloshed on bourbon and/or gin, and encourages her audience to join her somewhere over the rainbow, where clang clang clang goes the trolley and Happy Days Are Queer Again.

Created by Frantic McDormand in collaboration with Emily Moler, Emma Weiss, and Kev Berry.

Frantic McDormand, Kev Berry’s drag persona and protégé, is a genderless creature of excess somewhere between the age of 12 and immortal. Frantic puts on cabaret and pageant performances filled to the brim with carefully curated chaos, showtunes, and bourbon. Frantic was not molested as a child, but still managed to wind up completely fucked up. Frantic's a star, baby. Frantic lives at the intersection of theatre, performance art, and drag, and has performed in various states of existence at gay bars in Hell’s Kitchen and small open-minded theatres across the city.

Emily Moler (Director) is a Brooklyn-based director. Recent directing credits include We Can Tell (SITI Lab), ANNA KARENINA wanks (The Tank), and Charlie Brecht (TinyRhino). She has developed work with The Tank, SITI Company, 3LD, and UglyRhino. Recent assistant directing credits include Beardo (Ellie Heyman), I’ll Never Love Again (Michael Leibenluft), and Dido and Aeneas (Ethan Heard). She has worked with Ars Nova, Pipeline Theatre, Heartbeat Opera, The TEAM, The Orbiting Human Circus, Half Straddle, and Mass Live Arts.

Emma Weiss (Music Director) is a music director from New York City. She works as a private vocal and acting coach and is currently the music assistant on the Off Broadway run of The View UpStairs by Max Vernon. This is Emma's first collaboration with Frantic, though she helped develop and performed in Kev Berry Presents the Barbara Cook Kennedy Center Honors. Emma is a music director at Applause NY and will be making her 54 Below debut in June. Recent music directing credits include Cabaret, Grease, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, and Broadway Sings A Muppet Christmas Carol (NJPAC). Emma holds an MA in Musical Theater Music Directing from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
